Bible Journaling - Leviticus 15

Leviticus 15 deals with the very uncomfortable topic of bodily discharges. These could make a person unclean and people were warned not to touch such a person. With the knowledge we have of STD's these days, this chapter seems to be years ahead of its time, though I doubt that its first witnesses understood the value of the precautions as we do today. I decided to stick with the medical stickers that I had printed before and added some more laboratory stickers to this as well, for journaling this chapter. It would make me slightly uncomfortable to be more explicit with this chapter in my journaling.

The chapter looks like this in the Inspire Praise Bible.

I slip some protective sheets under the pages and paint it with Dala Acrylic Gesso to prevent bleeding through of mediums to other pages.

I spritz some water on the pages, once the gesso is dry, to dilute the ink I will be painting on top.

I pain the pages with Dala Acrylic Ink in Violet. The water dilutes the colour so that it is not so intense.

I have explained in detail in the preceding two chapters how I went about printing my own homemade stickers from images pulled off the internet. I will be using these two home-printed stickers on these two pages.

I fussy-cut around the images.

I then stick them down in the margins of my Bible and that completes this effortless layout.
