Bible Journaling: Leviticus 27

The last chapter of the book of Leviticus is a rather odd one. It has a list of redemption prices that could be paid to redeem a person, animal or object promised to God. I decided to keep my journaling for this chapter very simple. I use an inkpad to colour the backgrounds of the pages. I then cut some shapes and letters on my Go Cut & Emboss machine to use on the page and tie everything up with a store-bought die-cut that says love. Of course, I also colour the pretty illustration printed in the Inspire Praise Bible.

The pages look like this in the Inspire Praise Bible.

I prepare the pages with Dala Clear Acrylic Gesso.

Once dry, the pages look like this.

I colour the illustration with Mingyun and TouchWood markers.

The pages look like this when I am done with the colouring.

I then use a Pretty Color stamp pad to colour the backgrounds of the pages with.

I simply drag the stamp pad down over the pages.

I then find a pretty sheet of Scrap Booking Paper to use.

I use an alphabet set from Couture Creations to cut the required letters with. I also cut the same letter from blue paper.

I back the paper strips with double-sided tape before cutting out the letters.

The I lay out the letters on the cutting plates.

I use masking tape to secure the letters in place, or they may move in the process of cutting them. Then I run the sandwich through the Go Cut & Emboss machine.

I remove the cut letters from the alphabet dies and peel off the white backing paper from the double-sided tape. I have effectively turned these letters into stickers.

I stick the letters down on the page. I found that the ink resisted the stickers slightly.

In order to make sure my letters did not get lost, I used Dala Craft Glue to stick the letters down, as an added precaution.

The top layer of letters is placed slightly off-centre from the bottom layer, so that the bottom layer can have the appearance of a shadow.

I cut more shapes in the Go Cut & Emboss machine. This time I use Dinky Dies from Xcut.

I cut these shapes from the Scrap Book Paper sheet.

I again secure the shapes with Dala Craft Glue.

I then find this sticker, gifted to me by a friend, to use on the page.

I stick it down where I left space for it.

With that, I have concluded the journaling for the last chapter of Leviticus.
