Bible Journaling: Numbers 27

Numbers 27 is an interesting time, considering the time it is set in, as well as the patriarchal systems that abounded. In this chapter, a group of sisters approach Moses to complain that their inheritance will be lost to their family due to the fact that they had no brother. Moses petitioned God about this and a ruling was made that would allow them to inherit the land of their father. In the last part of the chapter we find that Joshua is appointed as Moses' successor, because he already had God's Spirit on him. I restricted my journaling largely to stamping, making sure to use a stamp of a girl to represent Zelophehad's daughters.

The chapter looks like this in the Inspire Praise Bible.

I treat the pages with Dala Clear Acrylic Gesso.

Once dry, the pages look like this.

I spray the pages with Dala Fabric Spray.

Then I use some word stamps to place the focus on family. I use Memento Ink and a Chiswick stamp mount.

These are the words I stamped.

I then find this stamp by Couture Creations to use on the pages.

Another stamp by Couture Creations.

Yet another stamp by Couture Creations.

A corner stamp by Couture Creations.

I do not know the manufacturer for this stamp.

The completed pages.
