Men are mighty. One gives a command and war erupts between nations. Men are powerful. One demonstrates his power by establishing a multi-million dollar empire in which he employs thousands of people who get to depend and rely on his whim. Men are strong. Yes, but not one man is almighty. Not one man is all-powerful. Not a single man has ever lived who could not be overthrown. We serve an almighty God who, unlike man, can not be overthrown, shaken or removed from office. He fears no one and bows before none. If you are still under the impression that you can direct your own destiny, that no one sits in power over you, that you are the one in control of your own prosperity, I want to issue a warning. God is the First and the Last. He is, He was and He will be forever. How long do you expect Him to tolerate your vanity and arrogance? Submit yourself to God, acknowledge Him in everything you do, and trust Him to give you a hope and a future that is better than the one you can dream up for yourself. Test God in this and see if He will not do for you what you could never do for yourself.
